Creating an Advert

Before you place your first advert, some extra information is needed. Each advert you create will be linked to you as a seller, so we need to collect some geographical information so potential buyers can find out where your car is based.

The extra information required is:

• Town & County - if you live in the UK, this information will be used to describe the location of the car. (for example Portsmouth, Hampshire)
• Postcode - if you live in the UK, the outcode (first 3 or 4 digits of your postcode) will be used to calculate your approximate position and distance to other adverts.
• Country - If you are based outside the UK, your adverts will be positioned by Town & Country (for example Dallas, United States
• Private/Trade - Private users are limited to two adverts at any one time. Trade sellers can create unlimited adverts.

Please Note: Any phone number you put in your profile will be printed on your adverts.

Having entered this information, you can then create an advert. Work through the form adding information about your car by selecting values from the pull-down menus. If you can't find the value you're looking for, please use the 'contact us' link and it will be added.

The more information you add, the greater the chance of your car showing up in searches ... and of yours being the right car.

Having completed the form, you can add up to six photos. When this is complete and the advert is finished, change the status from 'In Progress' to 'Activate'.
